The Real Estate Professional
Why Use a Professional?
Real estate transactions involve one of the greatest financial investments most people experience in their lifetime. This is why it is very important to select an experienced team of experts and professionals including a REALTOR® you can trust.
REALTORS® are real estate agents who are members of the National Association of REALTORS® and subscribe to a strict code of ethics and are expected to maintain a higher level of knowledge of the process of buying and selling real estate. They are also members of your local and state real estate boards.
A REALTOR® can walk you through the home buying process – from beginning to end. Real estate agents can help you find the kind of home you want, examine comparable properties, and compare different neighborhoods. They can also share information with you through the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) and on the Internet about properties you are interested in. A REALTOR® will negotiate the sales contract and professionally close the deal for you.
Working with a REALTOR® can save you time and money.

Choosing a REALTOR®
When choosing a REALTOR®, you first want to find a person with experience. You will also want to inquire about their education and credentials. Look for special certifications and degrees that prove your REALTOR® has studied the business beyond taking the license exam.
Having an agent that works full-time, is familiar with the community you wish to live in, and has a lot of experience working with buyers is essential. More importantly, you want to feel comfortable with your real estate professional because you will be involved with this person for some time to come.
